McNeely revealed that although she is coping well with the split, she is apprehensive about the premiere of Love is Blind: After the Altar on September 16th. She explained that the looming spotlight on their marriage was a factor in their decision to separate. “We’re going to have to explain ourselves, we’re going to have to relive everything that was put on TV,” she said. “It was more of a push to kind of just make a final decision, is this going to work or not?” McNeely believes that if they had not been under the pressure of the show and its subsequent spin-offs, they may have had more time to work on their issues.
