“Isn’t that so cool?” Waterhouse asks the ‘Batman’ star
In a new video for Elle, the singer-actress prank-called her fiancé and pitched a new job: co-hosting Love Is Blind together.
After the couple greeted one another with sweet pet names, “My love” for Pattinson, 38, and “Darling” for Waterhouse, 32, she asked the Twilight star if he remembered the show Love Is Blind. Waterhouse explained that she had just “been offered to be the host” for the Netflix dating series. (Nick and Vanessa Lachey have hosted all seven seasons of Love Is Blind.)
“Isn’t that so cool?” Waterhouse asked the Batman star. Pattinson replied asking for some help, “Which one’s Love Is Blind, again?”
The “Moves” singer replied that they watched it a while ago. “They’re like, ‘Oh, you’re my type. You’re my type.’ It’s quite deep… I don’t know I feel like it’s a sociological experiment. It’s actually quite beautiful in lots of ways,” she explained about the show where singles initially date without seeing each other.
“That’s interesting,” Pattinson replied. “What an interesting turn of events.”
She continued by telling him that they could host it together. “I thought it actually could be quite good,” she declared.
But Pattinson became more skeptical, replying, “Darling, have you gone mad?”
Waterhouse stifled her laughter before replying, “But don’t you think it would be quite good for us? Like it’d be great for you.”
At this point, Pattinson seemed to catch on. “Are you joking? Is this whole thing a joke?” he replied.
And after the singer confirmed Pattinson’s suspicions, he added, “I was like, ‘Babe if you think this is right for you —’ ”
Waterhouse chimed in, saying, “I know you’re so sweet! I love you. Thank you.”
Before she could hang up, Pattinson asked, “Wait, I’m not on some TV show, am I?”
“No, you’re not on TV,” she said, “But you are going to be on the internet.”
“No! I don’t want to be!” he exclaimed, and then she promptly hung up on him but not before telling him she loved him one more time.
