The first season of Love is Blind: Habibi came out, with all of its 9 episodes, on October 10. The Middle Eastern version has made for a perfect binge-watch after season 7 of the original version was released in parts earlier this month.
Simo and Hajar were among the couples who got engaged in the pods and then moved to the vacation phase of the show at a lux Dubai resort. However, they kept quarreling over several topics during their stay there. The last nail in the coffin was when Chafic got into a fight with Simo, in episode 4, because Simo told Dounia, Chafic’s fiancé, that everyone in the pods had known about Chafic’s old connection with Nour, an ex-pod mate.
Simo left the show saying, Hajar didn’t back him during his fight with Chafic and he didn’t believe in being with a woman who didn’t support her partner. Fans of Love is Blind: Habibi took to X to criticize Simo for leaving without saying a word to Hajar, especially because her partner leaving her without information was her biggest fear.
“Hajar said her biggest fear is a man leaving without any reason and Simo did just that. He remembered to do exactly that. Psychopath,” said one fan.
“Ohhhhhhhhh Simo just left her after he promised never to leave her..Hajar was like fine bye..,” said another fan.
“Simo is a child wow. He inserted himself into a situation that did not concern him and then got upset and left because Hajar didn’t stand by him????” said another.
“Simo is diabolical. He just left without saying anything to his crazy fiancé. This is the drama I signed up for please,” another fan added.
Fans of Love is Blind: Habibi also pointed out how Hajar had specifically told him about her fear of her partner leaving her abruptly and how Simo did exactly that without giving her a particular reason.
“Hajar told Simo her biggest fear was to be left with no reason so he left her with no reason I’m cackling so hard,” an X user wrote.
“Okay I’m watching #LoveIsBlindHabibi and Hajar literally told Simo what could shock her is someone leaving her without any reason. She emphasized she would be broken. Guess what? Simo use that information to hurt her, he left the show without informing her. Guys are EVIL !!!!!”, another X user wrote.

What made Simo leave from Love is Blind: Habibi?
Episode 4 of Love is Blind: Habibi ended with Chafic and Simo’s fight. It erupted after Simo sat down with Chafic’s fiancé, Dounia, and said that many people from the season had known each other since before the show, and everyone in the pods knew about it, thus referring to Chafic’s old connection with Nour.
Chafic objected because he had only recognized Nour as someone he knew after the couple’s mixer. He said he had told Simo about Nour at 4 and by 4:15 he was telling Dounia that everybody knew of it. The duo fought to a point where other participants of the show had to pull them away from each other and had to try calming them.
Episode 5 of Love is Blind Habibi documented Hajar standing alone on a patio. She said that she knew him and Chafic had some beef but she didn’t know where she stood on it. The scene cut to Simo, who was seen walking out of the resort. He said he didn’t want a woman who didn’t stand with him.
When a producer told Hajar that Simo had left, she was shocked. She said it was his loss, and that she couldn’t have done anything about his fight with Chafic.
