Netflix announces anticipated return of dating show that features stars from Love Is Blind and Too Hot To Handle

Netflix’s reality dating show, Perfect Match, which follows 22 singles from various  unscripted titles on the streaming platform, has dropped its trailer for season two.
In the first look of the popular series, featuring a combination of fan-favorites and villains from programs like Love Is Blind, Too Hot to Handle and The Ultimatum, the contestants can be seen letting loose, flirting, doing body shots, giving lap dances, and, as expected from living in close quarters, getting on each other’s nerves.
While some are looking for love, Trevor Sova, from season six of Love Is Blind, announces he is ‘here to redeem’ himself.
Sova, who allegedly had a girlfriend while in the pods, previously wrote in a statement, shared to his Instagram last month, that he was ‘seeing a therapist and slowly acknowledging what’ he needs to do to be a ‘better version’ of himself.
Meanwhile, Harry Jowsey, who rose to fame on Too Hot to Handle in 2020, appears smitten after striking up a relationship with Love Is Blind’s Jessica Vestal.

At one point during the preview, the 26-year-old Australian model says: ‘Jessica gets me excited about the future.’
Later, however, Vestal can be heard fighting with someone offscreen as she shouts: ‘You know who feels bad for you? No one!’
During the teaser, she also states that she doesn’t ‘know what to believe’ and asks Jowsey: ‘If everyone’s so genuine, why did you come here?’
She is not the only one struggling at the villa, which Elys Hutchinson describes as a ‘mad house,’ at one point.
They are joined by Alara Taneri (Dated and Related), Brittan Byrd (Too Hot to Handle), Bryan Constantin (Squid Game: The Challenge), Chris Hahn (Dated and Related), Christine Obanor (Too Hot to Handle), Tolu Ekundare (The Trust), Dominique Defoe (Too Hot to Handle), Holly Scarfone (Too Hot to Handle), Jake Cunningham (The Ultimatum: Marry or Move on), Justin Assad (Surviving Paradise), Kaz Bishop (Dated and Related), Melinda Melrose (Too Hot to Handle), Nigel Jones (To Hot to Handle), Stevan Ditter (Too Hot to Handle) and Xanthi Perdikomas (The Circle) in the Perfect Match villa.
The Mole’s Dom Gabriel, who appeared in the Perfect Match’s inaugural season, will also be returning as well as Love Is Blind stars Izzy Zapata and Micah Lussier.
Lussier, 27, is also featured in the trailer, and confidently states that she believes she has good ‘game’ and has been told that in the past.
The synopsis for the series teases that the singles will ‘couple up and test their romantic relationships through compatibility challenges.’

The ‘winning couples gain power in the game to bring in new singles to match with their castmates – setting up potential love matches or stirring trouble in paradise as they compete to be the strongest couple at the villa, crowned the Perfect Match.’
The series, hosted by Nick Lachey, will return to Netflix next month.
The first six episodes will drop on June 7, then an additional two on June 14 and the  finale on June 21.
Last year, Dom Gabriel and Georgia Hassarati were voted the winners of the first season of the new dating show.
Ultimately, Gabriel, who lives Canada, and Hassarati, who resides in Australia, called it quits due to the distance between them.
‘We kept in communication, we tried our best, but I think it just became too much and we just decided to focus on ourselves,’ he said, per Netflix site’s Tudum. ‘We don’t know what the future holds. If in the future, we meet back up together and that connection is still strong, then it’s meant to be and it’s there.’
The cast includes Alara Taneri (Dated and Related), Brittan Byrd (Too Hot to Handle), Bryan Constantin (Squid Game: The Challenge), Chris Hahn (Dated and Related), Christine Obanor (Too Hot to Handle), Tolu Ekundare (The Trust), Dominique Defoe (Too Hot to Handle), Elys Hutchinson (Too Hot to Handle), Holly Scarfone (Too Hot to Handle) and Jake Cunningham (The Ultimatum: Marry or Move on)

Joey Sasso and Kariselle Snow, who got engaged on the show’s finale, also split up.
‘Relationships in general are extremely difficult and it’s hard to sit here and say exactly what happened because it’s extremely personal between the both of us,’ Sasso told Variety in March 2023.
He continued: ‘We have so much in common, but I just think that we really tried to do everything we could to work on everything. We both had the best of intentions, but we have a lot of differences that separate us with the things that we want and the way that we feel about each other… That chapter of my life is over.’
Chloe Veitch and Shayne Jansen, who found love on season one of the Perfect Match, also broke up.
