Love Is Blind star Stephen Richardson is revealing how much money he sent Monica Davis on Venmo following their breakup.

Taking to Instagram Stories on Saturday, October 12, the 34-year-old Netflix personality created a “How much do you think I owed her? How much did I send poll?” for followers. Stephen revealed in one slide that a $500 guess was “closer than most” and a follow-up slide hinted that the sum was more than $200, but less than $600. A $450 response was also “actually pretty close.”

Stephen declined to share the full amount, redacting additional guesses that were correct. The electrician did make it clear that he “always” intended to pay Monica, 37, back.

“I always pay what I owe,” he wrote via Stories, claiming he even emptied his bank account to make the payment. “Even if it’s the last amount in my bank account while already I’m unemployed.”

Stephen and Monica got engaged sight unseen during Love Is Blind season 7, which was filmed in October 2023 and began airing on Netflix earlier this month. While their physical relationship grew after meeting face-to-face, things shifted when they returned from the post-pod Mexican vacation.

Monica found out that Stephen had been texting another woman about “dirty” sexual fantasies and subsequently tried to lie about it. He claimed that he was “drunk at a sleep test” when he sent the message before deleting the entire chain. Stephen and Monica ultimately ended up calling off their engagement once he came clean about the messages. She also asked him to send her his half of their shared living expenses via the Venmo app.

Monica, for her part, was “rolling [her] eyes” when she got the Venmo notification because of how he named the entry.

“It was something so classic for how he was behaving in that moment, which was a little bit like, ‘Woe is me,’” Monica told Vulture in an interview published in October. “I think it said ‘I’m the biggest piece of s—’ or something like that. Not ‘I’m sorry,’ not an emoji. It was just another, like, you know, ‘Feel bad for me because this is a problem that I have.’ I was rolling my eyes so hard in that moment.”

Monica holds no ill will toward her ex-fiancé, even noting on the Thursday, October 10, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast that she still thinks of Stephen as a “good person.”

Stephen also doesn’t regret the experience.

“You know for a show based on context clues and meant to be about not judging a book by its cover,” he wrote via Instagram earlier this week. “Its fans certainly like to take a LOT things at face value. These are all beautiful memories of mine that I would never trade for the world. Both on and off camera. Memories I will forever share with amazing people in an experience I never expected to be a part of.”

Love Is Blind season 7 is currently streaming on Netflix. New episodes drop Wednesdays. The reunion airs Wednesday, October 30, at 9 p.m. ET.
