ICYMI, two Love Is Blind couples are still married and still going strong after exchanging vows at the end of 2018.
One of those couples – arguably the strongest throughout the whole experiment – is Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton, who have now opened up about the experience for the first time.
The pair admitted they both had doubts going into the show (understandable) and also just before their wedding (equally understandable).
“After we had left Mexico and started sharing a space and living together, I found myself kind of fighting myself. The timeline for the marriage — I was getting scared. It’s legally binding. So I did go through a time in my mind when I was like, “Am I really ready?” And I closed off a little bit in some ways,” Lauren told People magazine.
Though Cameron was more optimistic, saying he listed off everything that they could potentially clash over, but “there was nothing that was a roadblock for us or nothing that would give me unease.”
He added: “I think it’s a testament to the fact that when you find the right person you can just kind of know, and it doesn’t take a ton of time to know that.
They also spoke about how tricky it was to keep their relationship under wraps for almost a year and a half.
“So many great moments that we’ve just shared in the past year and a half that we haven’t been able to share with the world,” Lauren explained.
Meanwhile, Jessica Batten has also been sharing her experience of being on the show and recently admitted she almost quit before the wedding.
The 34-year-old, who was engaged to 24-year-old Mark, explained that planning a wedding is hard enough, let alone when you’re not 100% sure on the person you’re meant to be marrying.

“It was psychological warfare, for sure, because planning a wedding is stressful enough, I hear,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “But when you’re planning a wedding with someone that I knew I didn’t want to marry him, we weren’t ready for that, and we actually had multiple conversations and we were both on the same page about that.”
On contemplating quitting, Jessica continued, “I definitely had a conversation about leaving and I wasn’t able to do that. My dog got sick too, and almost died during the show, I had so much other stuff going on.”
