Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton know people want them back on television, and fans can rest assured: their return is closer than they might think!

The couple, who celebrated their fifth anniversary on Thursday, met and tied the knot on season 1 of Netflix’s Love Is Blind. They’ve become show favorites ever since, with fans often referring to them as couple “goals” and going so far as to petition for them to replace Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey as hosts of the popular dating series.

The Hamiltons now tell PEOPLE they are aware of the fans’ passionate commentary and are slowly planning their return to screens, beginning with Lauren’s new competitive game show appearance.

“In the more immediate future, we’re looking to make a return to television or continue on television,” Cameron, 33, says. “Lauren has a show coming out, The GOAT, it’s coming out fairly soon.”

Coming from the producers of The Bachelor and The Office, The GOAT brings 14 reality TV stars together to compete in a series of mental, physical and social challenges, with the goal of winning the title of the G.O.A.T. (greatest of all time).

The Amazon Freevee series is hosted by Daniel Tosh and will feature Lauren, 36, as well as Tayshia Adams, Joe Amabile, Kristen Doute, Reza Farahan, CJ Franco, Wendell Holland, Teck Holmes, Alyssa Edwards (born Justin Johnson), Paola Mayfield, Da’Vonne Rogers, Joey Sasso, Jason Smith and Jill Zarin.

Aside from that show, Cameron notes: “We definitely are planning our return to TV. We hear people’s cries for us to be hosts. And I think it would be a really wonderful thing. I really would love to help couples find love in this kind of unconventional way, not necessarily Love Is Blind, but maybe our own format. And I really love that idaof helping people find love.”

The duo previously teased they would be open to the possibility of returning to reality television — if the right opportunity came along.

“We just want to be sure that it is something that will feel good to us,” Lauren told E! News in July. “We don’t want to be on TV just to be on TV because that’s when you get in trouble. That’s when you end up in situations where you’re not happy with the outcome. The story starts to warp itself just for entertainment.”

“Whatever we walk into, which, I have a feeling it’ll be soon, you never know,” Lauren continued. “We just want it to feel good to us and to our supporters.”

While they wait for the right opportunity, Lauren and Cameron continue to stay busy. The two run their Hanging with the Hamiltons YouTube channel, recently adoptedaother dog and tell PEOPLE they have “other creative projects in the works.” Lauren also co-hosted a podcast called We Have the Receipts with Chris Burns, and plans to launch a nonprofit for underserved women in the Atlanta and Detroit areas.

Through it all, their fans have remained loyal. However, Lauren and Cameron tell PEOPLE they’ve never felt a sense of pressure to uphold their iconic couple status from their Love Is Blind days.

“I don’t feel the pressure because it never was that for us even throughout the show,” Cameron explains. “We were really just focused on each other. And I think once you let that in, that notion of like, ‘Oh, I have to be a certain way for people,’ it’s no good. You start second guessing yourself and being performative. Definitely don’t want that.”

Lauren is in full agreement as she explains, “It’s no pressure because the best way to inspire people is just to lead by example. And that’s by naturally having our relationship, naturally sharing what we want. Like Cam said, not being performative, because this isn’t a play, this is real life, this is our marriage. So, it’s no pressure, we can’t forget any lines. And I think that’s really what has kept our marriage strong throughout the years … We appreciate the support, but we’re not super tuned in on, ‘Oh, we got to do this because the public will think this.'”

“Like, they said we haven’t kissed in a while, so let’s throw a quick kiss on,” Cameron notes, as Lauren adds, “It’s just like, this is what we want to do. Y’all can join if you want … It’s all about doing organic for us. And that works, so we’re going to continue that.”

But that doesn’t mean that the couple will share just anything on their feeds.

“I think me and Cam, even though we are very public, I think that we also keep some stuff just for us,” Lauren says. “We don’t post every, every, every, everything, which you definitely see that with some people, with some couples, which more power to them. But I think that for us, it’s just important that we just have our piece of our relationship that’s just for us as well.”

Cameron adds, “Definitely have to have those boundaries and keep some of your relationship for just yourselves.”

While some things have remained private, others — like their five-year anniversary and vow renewal, shared exclusively with PEOPLE — have been a public display of their love, proving to fans they’re still going strong half a decade later.

“Cameron is honestly very loving,” Lauren gushes about her husband. “He’s so selfless, and I really appreciate that. Because my past relationships were not that way. So I know what it’s like to not have it, so I’m grateful.”

Adds Cameron, “This is hard to express, but I think even more this year have learned that Lauren is very consistent in who she is, which I really love … and just the things that she’s willing to do for our marriage.”

“She’s made a lot of sacrifices in many ways … the selflessness that [she has] shown this year has been huge and it was deeper than I have ever seen,” he concludes. “I’m just very grateful for her as a partner.”
