Love Is Blind’s Johnie Goes Instagram-Official with New Boyfriend After Ex Chris’ Cheating Revelations

Johnie Maraist is going public with her new love after revealing the status of her relationship with ex Chris Fox during Sunday’s season 5 reunion of Love Is Blind.

The Houston lawyer, 32, debuted her new relationship on Instagram, shortly after her project manager ex-boyfriend, 28, confessed they ended their relationship after he cheated on her on the reality show reunion. 

“I’m doing just fine 🩵,” Johnie captioned a video collage showing photos of her with her boyfriend Alex Yovanovic. The pictures flashed on screen to a piano instrumental of Adele’s “Someone Like You” and included shots of the pair dancing, making funny faces and locking lips. 

In another post, Johnie shared a carousel of pictures and videos celebrating their one-year relationship.

“hell was the journey but it brought me heaven 🩵 ,” she wrote in the caption. “happy one year, Alex – thank you for showing me what true love is.”

At the reunion, the reality star admitted she was devastated by her split from Chris, but shared that she’s since moved on and has been dating her boyfriend for a year.

The former Love Is Blind couple confirmed they went their separate ways after he started dating another woman without ending things first.

“That weekend was my birthday weekend and Chris had a wedding out of state, so he left the state and I didn’t see him. And then the next week I didn’t see him, and then I found out the following weekend that Chris was seeing someone else,” Johnie explained. “And yeah, I never saw him again.”

Chris owned up to his actions, admitting, “I didn’t handle the situation as someone would properly but I did find someone who I now live with, and I love, and we’re very happy together. And I’m sorry if that hurts to hear. I know I was wrong. I felt guilty and heartbroken and as many emotions as I could because I did fall in love with [her] … one of my biggest regrets is not being forthcoming with you.”

“I apologized before and I continuously apologize,” he added. “One of my biggest faults that I continuously try to work through is telling people news they don’t want to hear.”

During the first few episodes of the Netflix hit, fans watched as Chris formed a connection in the pods with Johnie. However, Johnie felt her connection with Izzy Zapata was stronger and decided to end things with Chris, claiming he felt like the “safer” option.

Chris was heartbroken over their breakup, but it wasn’t long before Johnie came back to him, asking for a second chance after Izzy, 31, ended things with her to pursue Stacy Snyder. Chris stood his ground and rejected Johnie’s offer — but by episode 7, it was revealed that the two ultimately rekindled their connection and decided to date outside of the pods.
