Love Is Blind season 6 star Chelsea Blackwell started therapy after filming the show and she said the practice has transformed her life.

While answering followers’ questions in her Instagram Story on Sunday, the reality star, 31, addressed a question from someone who asked if she’s gone to therapy since filming the show.

She said that she “absolutely” sought a mental health therapist and added that people who worked behind the scenes on Love Is Blind helped her find a practitioner and pay for the cost of treatment.

“I’ve never seeked [sic] a therapist before but man oh man, I feel everyone could benefit from having an unbiased opinion,” Chelsea wrote in response to the question.

She also said that prior to her experience on the Netflix dating show, she didn’t think she “needed” therapy, but she’s since changed her mind.

“I had a ton of inner issues I needed to debunk and my life, my mindset, my heart has completely changed,” Chelsea continued. “I thought I loved myself before but I have never felt THIS kind of love.”

While in the Love Is Blind pods, Chelsea was caught in a love triangle between Jimmy Presnell and Trevor Sova. She chose to get engaged to Jimmy, 28, although he was also pursuing single mother Jessica Vestal while in the pods. Meanwhile, Trevor, 31, appeared to only be interested in getting engaged to Chelsea after a certain point in the process.

Chelsea’s insecurities (while filming) are often highlighted on the show. She struggled with wondering what Jimmy would feel when they were out of the pods.

The couple got into a big fight in the most recent episodes when Chelsea confronted Jimmy about not showing her enough affection and he called her  “a little clingy.”

Per her answers to other questions in her Instagram Story on Sunday, Chelsea knew that Netflix would curate the storyline they wanted to for her and Jimmy. She said she had reasons for feeling certain emotions and doesn’t feel like that was shown on screen.

“Was I emotional and insecure? Absolutely. But my feelings were valid and I wish that was included more.” she wrote in response to a follower who asked her if she thought Love Is Blind portrayed her accurately.

But Chelsea has already moved on and become a different person from who she was on the hit series, something her followers noticed when writing to her on Sunday.

To someone who said they noticed a new “glow” about her now that she wasn’t on the show, she wrote: “The most special compliment. The woman I am today has come very far from the woman on the show and I’m very proud of my growth.”
