Love Is Blind stars Brittany Wisniewski and Leo Braudy broke up shortly after they left the pods engaged, and the esthetician revealed what went down once the cameras stopped filming.
“Although we had an amazing time, we just decided that we didn’t see ourselves really proceeding with a full engagement leading to marriage and we’re just better off as friends,” Leo, 31, told People in an article published on Wednesday, October 23.
However, Brittany, 33, added that “the physical connection just simply wasn’t there, honestly.”
“It was a very clean, respectful realization,” Brittany continued. “He’s just not my person.”
Leo and Brittany had one of the most dramatic relationships while in the pods, and fans were disappointed when production chose not to follow the rest of their story. Brittany and the art dealer admitted that while they were bummed to not be able to head to Cabo San Lucas with six of the other engaged couples from season 7, they understood the decision.
“I was definitely disappointed because you build such a strong relationship with everyone on the show, all the girls, so of course not filming and being with them and having fun was something to be sad about,” Brittany told the outlet. “But I knew we were the weakest link. Let’s just be honest, I was the only one that didn’t say, ‘I love you’ back to the person I was engaged to, so I was not surprised.”
Viewers saw Brittany’s reaction to Leo during the reveal, and it was less than ideal, and even Brittany confessed that she had an initial feeling that something between her and Leo wasn’t right. One of the last moments audiences saw of Brittany was when she wondered out loud during a confessional, “Oh God, what have I done?”
“It was an energy thing. I just didn’t feel the things that you would think that you would feel when you’re getting proposed to, despite having such a strong connection,” Brittany explained to the publication. “I do think he’s a very attractive guy and he has such a very strong magnetic presence in person when you’re next to him, which I adore, but it was just an intuition. It was solely just, ‘This isn’t my husband and now I’ve got to figure this out.’”
Leo rubbed several fans the wrong way during Love Is Blind season 7. After he discussed how he wanted to find a woman who loved him for who he was and not for being financially blessed, he seemed to talk about his wealth and “lucrative” job as an art dealer nonstop. It appears as though Leo’s learned his lesson and has been taking the negativity from fans in stride.
“Hello, class. Today’s lecture is three things I learned on reality TV,” Leo joked in a TikTok video he shared on October 8. “Lesson one, go to therapy before you go on the national reality dating show, not after. Lesson two, one slow, deep breath before you speak could drastically alter the course of your life. And lesson three, if you happen to be so blessed as to own a Rolex, DO NOT WEAR THAT S–T ON TV. That concludes today’s class.”
