The unlikely couple broke the news on the first episode of Lauren and Cameron Hamilton’s “The Love Seat” podcast.
There’s a Love Is Blind baby on the way.
Season 1 alums Amber and Mark Barnett have revealed they’re still going strong and in fact expecting they’re first child together. “I sent myself back to school because I felt like we were in a place where I could do that. I had the support, and I was mentally there,” Amber explained on the first episode of fellow season 1 couple Lauren and Cameron Hamilton’s The Love Seat podcast. “And then over summer break he just went and knocked me up.”
Lauren cheered for her former castmate, crying out, “There’s a baby Barnett on the way!” Cameron enthused, “I’m ready to be the uncle.”
Mark and Amber, then Amber Pike, met back in 2018 while filming the first season of the Netflix dating reality show. As the season neared its end, Mark had not one, not two, but three romantic prospects to choose from: Jessica Batten, Lauren “LC” Chamblin, and Pike. Though to the very end it seemed he may have proposed to Chamblin, it was Pike who stole his heart.
The couple were married in the finale episode, shot in November 2018, but airing in February 2020.

Shortly after learning about “baby Barnett,” Lauren asked the couple if “this was after Cam’s party,” referring to a recent party thrown in honor of her husband. “It might have been during Cam’s birthday party — it might have already been,” Amber told her, joking, “So little baby B might come out ready to throw down with us.”

During 2021’s After the Altar reunion special, Amber expressed the desire to have a child with Mark, but he seemed hesitant. He cited as a reason for his concern the fact that he still lives with a roommate, because he recently sold his house … to pay off Amber’s student loans. But Amber told Entertainment Weekly in March 2020 that Mark “had a lot more student debt than I did!”

Lauren and Cameron Hamilton also got married on the Love is Blind season 1 finale, but have not welcomed a child together. One of Mark’s Barnett’s original suitors, Jessica Batten, got engaged to Mark Anthony Cuevas while taping the first season, but eventually turned him down at the altar. Batten and Cuevas have both since married other people, and they’ve both welcomed children with their partners.
Season 1’s Giannina Gibelli also welcomed a child with The Bachelorette season 14 runner-up Blake Horstmann in April 2024.
Love is Blind season 7 premiered on Netflix on Oct. 2, and new episodes premiere every Wednesday.
