Freddie Powell on Love Is Blind UK has warmed the hearts of fans everywhere as he opens up about the bond he shares with brother Jack, who has Down’s Syndrome.

All of this can only mean one thing, the new season of Love Is Blind UK has dropped, treating us to four heart-wrenching, funny, and drama-filled episodes on Netflix. The first ever UK installment of the show has seen six couples get engaged, with five jetting off to the honeymoon section. One of those couples is Freddie and Catherine, who previews of the show already hint make it ‘down-the-aisle’. Freddie has been making fans all over the World swoon as a literal walking green-flag. One of those reasons being the love he has for his brother, Jack.
Freddie may have to be brother’s main caretaker someday
A fan favorite from day one, Freddie Powell has been making an impression, not just on his fiancé Catherine Richards, but with women everywhere.
Freddie is 32-years-old from Bolton, and he has an ‘interesting’ career as a funeral director. Making a connection with Catherine in the pods on day one, he already has promised not to “embalm” his potential-future-wife.
Freddie has a sister and a brother and was raised by his mother. Family ties clearly run deep with this guy, though hopefully not as deep as some fans seem to think – rumors have been circulating the internet that the loved up pair are actually cousins!
Powell is super protective of his brother who has Down’s Syndrome. In his opening titles, when asked why he is a catch, Freddie responds, “I’m a catch ’cause I’m a caring person.” It is this empathy that Freddie attributes to making him successful in his unusual career.
Freddie opens up to Cat about his relationship with his brother, explaining that if his mum passed away, he would need to be his brother’s main caretaker. Bonding over family is what blossoms the love between Cat and Freddie, leading to their inevitable engagement.

Freddie’s Instagram not only has fans swooning over his eight pack in some sultry shots, it is a demonstration to the bond that him and his brother Jack share.
A number of shots show the pair enjoying sleepovers, sharing brother-time on ‘chilled nights-in’, or celebrating Mother’s Day together. Whatever the activity, the pair are always arms wrapped around each other and cuddled-up as only truly close siblings can be.
In a recently shared cute snap captioned, “Just chillin’ with my big bro. Yeah, he’s holding his foot why not right?” The pair is both laughing with the arms around each other, though Jack is clutching his foot with his free hand.
Fans have flooded the comments section with support, with one fan saying, “You’re such a kind and warm person – never forget that! Our heroes exist among us… x.”
