“I’m so so sorry to the people that watched the show that felt frustrated, angry, hurt, by the way that I was mistreating people,” expressed Irina.
On her official Instagram account, Irina shared a video addressing followers where she took responsibility for the careless way she treated her cast mates. The business owner also apologised to the show’s audience who were disturbed by watching her behaviour. She stated that she has privately apologised to her cast members she mistreated on the show before posting the video. Irina also specifically named castmates Zack Goytowski, Micah Lussier, Bliss Poureetezadi, Amber Wilder, and Jackelina Bonds, remarking that, “none of those people deserved to be treated the way that I treated them.”
Many voiced their dismay at Irina’s catty behaviour throughout the show saying it was extremely disturbing and triggering. One Reddit user expressed, “Irina makes my blood boil. Laughing at the pain of others is never okay. I felt for her when she said she was bullied for her appearance. I wish they would screen the cast members, better. I know drama creates ratings, but she’s vicious and cruel. Nobody should go through that.”
In the first half of the reality series, Irina has been the centre of a majority of the drama in the show. One of biggest scandals were her calling her former fiance Zack creepy, commenting on his looks, ignoring him during their honeymoon phase and other insensitive actions while they were engaged. “You got the worst part. I’m literally treating you so poorly. Like, I know it. I won’t even look at you, touch you. You talk to me and I literally look away,” Irina admitted to Zack on the show.
The 26-year-old was also unsympathetic to her other cast mates and was filmed laughing at a fellow cast member’s heartbreak, flirting with Paul who happens to be engaged to Irina’s close friend Micah as well as instigating fights between Zack and his new love interest Bliss. Irina has been all kinds of messy in the show
“Truly, I want to add value to people and I want to make people feel seen and who I was on the show was the complete exact opposite of that person,” Irina stated. “I feel like being on the show was like getting a mirror put in front of your face, in the sense of seeing yourself from a different perspective. That opened up so much to me and I’m still processing and going through everything that happened.”
Irina ended her apology by mentioning that she was going through a difficult time during the shoot and one day hopes she will be able to share it with the public. “But until then, I just appreciate you for watching this and listening to this,” she concluded.
