The reality TV personality took some time to clarify with some Instagram comments
The seventh season of Love Is Blind has truly been a wild ride. No, really, tons of drama has unfolded onscreen and behind the scenes. This season alone, we’ve witnessed Stephen’s cheating scandal, Leo’s entire existence, and Ramses refusing to wrap it up. Another bombshell moment came when the truth about Tyler’s paternity status was revealed to his fiancée, Ashley.
TL;DR: Tyler told Ashley that he was a sperm donor who helped a couple start their family with three children after they had connected in the pods, taken their trip to Mexico, and begun their joint living situation. Not only did it end in a heated discussion between the pair but it grew into a larger scandal once people in Tyler’s life came forward and alleged that he lied about being a donor, claiming that he was the father of those three children.
Ashley has officially broken her silence since the allegations came to light. A viewer left a comment on one of her Instagram posts, writing, “I hope you never need egg donation. It’s not cool to make someone feel bad about it—it’s just genetic material, it’s not paternity.”
The reality personality directly responded, saying, “Did you hear the part where I say, ‘I’m not mad at him trying to help a couple start a family…in fact I find it to be admirable!’ I would NEVER EVER demean anything about a woman’s fertility.” She then clarified that she was upset he didn’t share the news with her sooner in their journey before adding, “I’d love to open this dialogue further. But for now, I’ll say it’s more complicated when you donate to friends and family.”
Another fan chimed into the convo, writing, “I hope you don’t disappoint me cause that man is FOUL! A whole daddy! A broke one at that cause he owes MULTIPLE women money!!!!!” Ashley asked, “Do you know him personally to spread such slander about my castmate? Regardless of the choice I make, I’ll do whatever is best for me, the same way I assume you live your life. Food for thought before I go, beware of social media and the alleged unauthenticated ‘proof’ you speak of. I pray that you’ll attempt to lead with kindness moving forward.”
The mother of Tyler’s children, Bri Thomas, took to Instagram Reels to share more info ahead of the Love Is Blind season finale on October 23. In the series of videos, she revealed that Tyler was her best friend and had initially donated his sperm to help her and her ex-wife start a family before they separated. Bri added that she and Tyler were open to dating other people as they co-parent their three children.
Tyler has yet to publicly clarify and dispel any rumors, but we’ll have to see how it pans out in the season finale of Love Is Blind on October 23.
