Love Is Blind’s Iyanna McNeely Announces Engagement: ‘Something Sparkly, Something Special, Someone Forever’

Iyanna McNeely is engaged!

The Love Is Blind star shared the news on Instagram on Tuesday, Dec. 17, writing, “A weekend of surprises, wonder, and happy cries. ✨ Something sparkly, something special, someone forever. ✨.”

Her post featured five photos from her engagement weekend. In the final image, she smiles lovingly at her fiancé, whose name she has not revealed, while suspended in the air in his arms with her right foot popped up. Based on her pictures, the proposal appears to have taken place at the Civic Opera Building in Chicago. 

McNeely wore the Villanelle Mini Dress from Babyboo Fashion for the special occasion. The long-sleeve black dress, which retails for $138, has a plush faux fur-trimmed neckline and cuffs, and a playful bubble-shaped skirt. She styled the look with sheer black tights and black stilettos. Her fiancé matched her by wearing a short-sleeve black shirt, dark gray trousers and black dress shoes.

Several Netflix stars congratulated the newly engaged couple in the comments section.

“Congratulations!!! 🎉🍾 ❤️,” commented Mallory Zapata, whom McNeely’s ex-husband Jarrette Jones proposed to first on Love Is Blind.

The Circle and Perfect Match alum Xanthi Perdikomatis wrote: “You look stunning 😍.”

“Oh all the love 🥹. I feel it. Thank you everyone 🥰,” McNeely wrote in the comments.

McNeely began publicly posting on social media with her fiancé earlier this year, but has kept his identity a secret. She doesn’t tag him in her posts, and he remains mostly hidden in her content. In a post from November, the mystery man crouched behind McNeely as she took a mirror selfie, with only the top of his head visible. In a video from October, his face is entirely covered by a mask.

The bride-to-be was previously married to Jones, whom she met on the second season of Love Is Blind. The couple had a rocky start after Jones proposed to another woman. After getting rejected, he popped the question to McNeely, and they eventually got married in the show’s finale.

McNeely later accused Jones of cheating on her during their “unhappy” marriage. The former couple announced their split in August 2022, sharing the news in a joint Instagram statement in which they said their lives were “going in different directions.”

McNeely officially filed for divorce from Jones through the Circuit Court of Cook County on Sept. 23, 2023, according to documents viewed by PEOPLE. Their divorce was finalized in November 2022.

At the time, Jones issued a statement to PEOPLE, saying of the news: “My divorce with Iyanna is finalized as of today. We’ll remain friends and I’ll continue to wish her nothing but the very best. Thank you everyone for your continued support and understanding throughout this entire process.”
