After all the drama, Catherine has now come out and said Love Is Blind UK producers made her speak to Sam on the show. Yikes.

During the first season of the UK show, Catherine had been getting to know Freddie in the pods, whilst Sam also found himself in a bit of a triangle between Nicole and Catherine. In the end, Catherine got engaged to Freddie and Sam to Nicole – neither of which ended up being successful.

After the show aired, Sam had been posting on TikTok and Instagram mentioning Catherine loads, and people even thought they might have been dating since. He was making videos about her, and talking about her in interviews. However, Catherine has since revealed she’s dating someone else from the pods, Jake Singleton-Hill.

Now why it’s been so one-sided between Catherine and Sam since Love Is Blind UK has all been explained: Catherine has said she didn’t even want to speak to Sam on the show in the first place. Ouch.

In an interview with the Sun, she said: “The producers told me to talk to Sam. I didn’t just go up there. The producers told me to talk to him because no one was talking to him.

“And then they told me to ask about his bracelet. I was so shocked that Sam generally looks like my ex, I probably went on about it too long. But I was not attracted to him, I wasn’t flirting with him.”

There was a moment on the show where it looked as though Catherine asked for Sam’s phone number, but she has also clarified that wasn’t the case, and was just down to the show’s editing.

“I said to Sam, ‘I have a friend that would be perfect for you. So when I’m in London give me a call’,” she explained. “I was actually hooking him up with my friend. Which Freddie knew about because he was there.”
