The Netflix dating reality show Love is Blind UK released its reunion special episode on the streaming platform on Monday, August 26, 2024. The show, which began airing its original US version in 2020, is dubbed a social experiment that tests whether love is truly blind. Single contestants meet each other through pods and have deep, meaningful conversations without seeing each other.
They can only see their partner after both have decided to get engaged.
They are then sent on a “honeymoon” to test their physical connection and meet the other members of the show. The couples are then sent to live together, meet each other’s friends and family, and test their love in the real world for four weeks. At the end of four weeks, they decide if they want to get married or if they want to end the relationship.
After airing its first season, Love is Blind UK released its reunion episode on Monday. The episode saw all the cast members meeting a year after the events of the show. Natasha and Tom were two people who were a part of the reunion. They had met during their time in the pods but weren’t together. Although they started off as friends, Natasha soon fell deeply in love with Tom, who didn’t reciprocate the same feelings.
During the reunion, the show’s host, Emma Willis, asked Natasha about her connection with Tom.
“It’s really hard to talk about now, cause obviously, we’re a year down and obviously every single thing I felt in the pods was just mad, I’ve never felt it before, the room felt still and I was completely in love with him,” Natasha said.
The reunion episode saw the cast members have discussions about the people they connected with and their experience on the show. For Natasha, the Love is Blind UK reunion was a chance to speak up about Tom’s importance in her life during the show’s filming.
