I must have been under a rock because I did not realize season 2 Love Is Blind Couple Nick Thompson and Danielle Ruhl had divorced. Danielle sat down with E News and told her side. She felt like he always placed the blame on her through out the relationship, he never took accountability for his actions.
She said she felt like everything had to go his way and he never considered her input. She said he was very hurt she filed for the divorce even though she told him she was gonna do it and they both agreed it was what was best for them.
Nick after seeing the interview said it was disappointing to hear her not be honest about their relationship, he also said he would never say anything bad about her publicly because that’s not his character.
Nick Thompson is also the guy who felt like Netflix was a contributing factor in him being on the verge of becoming homeless, because they allegedly only paid about $1000 a week. He’s also said that he felt that living conditions were wrong because they were locked in a hotel, no keys, no wallet, no id and you couldn’t leave.
On an episode of Thompson’s Eyes Wide Open podcast, Thompson and Ruhl spoke about some of the challenges they faced because of Love is Blind’s popularity.
Thompson recalled that, when the show first started airing, they were told they weren’t allowed to be seen in public together. “We couldn’t be seen in public. We couldn’t go anywhere. We couldn’t go out to dinner,” he said.
Ruhl added that once they did go out, they would “get interrupted all the time” by fans. “We couldn’t even have a conversation with one another,” she said. “It was just sad.”
“You’re not used to having hundreds of thousands of people commenting on you, your relationship, your family, your behaviors, your job,” Thompson added.
